Dr. Jamil’s journey of exceptional achievements began at Cadet College Petaro, Sindh, one of Pakistan’s most prestigious institutions. Here, he distinguished himself as an extraordinary student and athlete. He was awarded the Stick of Honor and served as the Head Boy, exemplifying leadership and academic excellence. His prowess was not limited to the classroom; he holds an unbeaten record in the 100 meters race, showcasing his remarkable athletic abilities. Dr. Jamil topped the Matriculation exams and later excelled in the FSc examinations, achieving the highest marks across all boards in Pakistan.

He continued his academic excellence at King Edward Medical College, Lahore, one of the country’s premier medical institutions. His time there was marked by outstanding performance both academically and in extracurricular activities, including debating, where he won numerous national competitions.

Advanced Specialization and Professional Career

Dr. Jamil pursued advanced training in Rehabilitation at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in England. His specialization equipped him with cutting-edge knowledge and skills, which he brought back to Pakistan. Upon returning, he was instrumental in founding the Department of Rehabilitation at Mayo Hospital Lahore, where he served as the Head of Department (HoD). Under his leadership, the department grew into a leading center for rehabilitation services in Pakistan, offering comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of disabilities and conditions.

Since his retirement as Dean of Mayo Hospital, Dr. Jamil continues to influence the fields of neurology and rehabilitation.
